Religious Education
Religious education - Term 2
This term we will be looking at how Christians believe that Jesus is the messiah. We will be comparing it to Jewish beliefs and investigating the evidence for and against. As Christmas approaches we will look at the idea of incarnation and how it impacts Christians
Lesson 1: What is Christianity, where do Christians worship and what do Christians believe?
Refresh your knowledge using the videos and text on this webpage from the BBC: https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/topics/ztkxpv4/articles/zvfnkmn
Take the quiz at the end; how did you score?
Lesson 2: Jesus was a Jew. The Jews' holy book: the Torah talks about a ‘rescuer’ or ‘anointed one’- a messiah who will come to save them. Some texts talk
about what the ‘messiah’ would be like. Find out more about Jews using this helpful webpage from the BBC:

On Saturday the 14th of November Hindus here in the UK and around the world will celebrate LIGHT. Let's find out why:
Lesson 4: Let's look a little closer at Jesus and who he was. In this lesson we will hear about his life from his birth at the first Christmas, then we will look at the miracles of Jesus and create a life of Jesus story map. Grab a pencil and paper
